BRAIN OR HEART???

A couple of days ago I heard an interesting medical news/fact on TV.
Contrary to what everyone knows about our thoughts that they are controlled by the brain, recent research suggests that the HEART is the one that controls our thoughts and learning abilities!!
Scientists found that there are certain cells (thinking- like neurons…I guess!) present in the heart that control our thoughts through our emotions and those thoughts are then transmitted directly to the brain.
A patient who needed a heart transplant received a heart from a donor who was a musician. Before the procedure the patient knew nothing about music, however after he got the musician’s heart he became one of the most renowned musicians in the world!!!
And another patient who received a poet’s heart was able to write poetry after the transplantation!!
So if you were to receive a new heart (God forbid) whose heart would you want???

To be continued…

That's so cool... So I guess when Dr. Nezma (was that her name?) used to tell me that a man who had a heart transplant from a monkey started acting like one there was an element of truth!!

Whose heart... i have a couple in mind, but I don't really know! Gotta get back to you on that one

hmm heart or brain. WELL, that's kind of like asking me to choose between a kidney and a bladder.. lol no no bad example.. more like having to choose between your desires and your ability to bring those desires into being.

What i'm trying to say is that the human body's complexity is beyond our full understanding; there are mysteries (especially related to the human brain) that are still unclear to us.
So will we ever know the true significance of the heart and brain on our thoughts, emotions, etc? Probably not, although science has come to great lengths trying to find logical explanations for such issues. But then again, you NEVER know, people can amaze you sometimes ;)

All in all, i personally think that the human mind is one of the most interesting parts of our whole "being". It IS what makes us "US" after all isn't it? What exactly affects our mind and causes it to act the way it does though, will remain a mystery for some time at least.. We're getting closer to the answer.. But the catch is that the answer may be not even be there.

ps. BRAIN! ;p
pps. whose heart would i want? hmm i'd much rather just hope i never need anyone's but my own.

Very Interesting Classy!
I love reading/watching/viewing blogs about these sort of facts, regarding the BRAIN specifically, this brilliant organ, one of God's most amazing incomparable gifts!
surprisingly,it's scientifically compared with the heart, two separate organs connected in this magnificent unexplained way..
*Sub7an Allah*
Regarding your question:
you see,Am such a brain person!
meaning i would easily answer the question if you asked whose brain would i want,
But HEART!!!
umm.. that's like asking me to want to be a total different person!
a different being
so..
.....
AWESOME!! <--( in a "surfing dude" accent)

If i must answer, I'd say:
My ***'s Heart.. ;P

if i had to chose a heart i think i would probably chose the heart of a crazy artist.. lol i've always wanted to be one.

Wonderful guys.. you must be really savvy and observant. Just happened to read a sensational and alarming article on this topic:

Check This Material!

Has it really gone that far?
See what you can think.. Would love to know your feedback..

Amazed dude!

Anonymous- I personally think it's quite fascinating.. and if science manages to get behind it all, then we have some serious explaining to do.. for some reason i think the world won't be so open to such an idea, considering how the brain has always been known as the center of our thoughts, emotions, and actions..

This article was actually based on a book i'm looking forward to reading: "The Heart's Code" By: Paul Pearsall .. it seems like it's worth reading if you're interested in the topic..
